Today I worked on trying to fix the holes in the rear axel. The first step was to fix the holes by brazing up the rear cover. Once this was completed the top half of the cover plate was loaded with solder. This will hopefully add some strength to what remains of the axel cover plate and will with a bit of luck remain oil tight for many years to come. The pinion oil seal needs to be changed but this will be done when the axle is fitted back in the chassis.
