So cut a few more bits out of the frame to be able to lower the radiator by another 25mm. Once this was done the radiator now fitted under the bonnet. Photo below shows the part I cut out of the frame and so far I’ve welded up one side.

Tried fitting the new radiator and discovered it was a bit thicker than the original (maybe 10mm) so wouldn’t fit. Cut a few bits out of the chassis to make it fit.
After that I assembled the front end of the car and installed the bonnet to ensure the radiator didn’t hit the bonnet. Unfortunately the new radiator is slightly taller than the original so it now hits the bonnet. Tomorrow I have to have another go at the front sub frame to make it fit.

The axle brake back plates that I got back from the shot blasting were badly corroded on the outer section over a small area. Rather than try to source some replacement’s I decided to repair the bad section. Photos of before and after.

Repaired battery clamp today along with more filling and sanding of car body.
Also got another batch of parts back from shot blasting.

Didn’t get much done today but did manage to fix footwell vent (was a challenge due to metal being so thin).
Also fix air supply vent that goes after the blower motor as that was also rusted away.
