Have spent a few hours over the last few days getting the boot catch to fit and function correctly. First step was to resin three captive nuts into the boot lid for the catch to attach too. Once set the catch was install but there was insufficient adjustment to make it fit operate correctly (when boot was closed it wasn’t kept tightly shut). The solution was to weld a 5 mm extension on catch (you can probably just make out the weld that’s been ground flat in photo below).
