Category: New Wood chassis

Doesn’t look like I’ve done much but it takes time to cut and  fit lots of small sections of wood. Also limited by the number of clamps I own!

Back from work and have a couple of weeks off so hoping to make some progress with the chassis. Spent the day cutting a few peices out. Want to get a few more key parts cut out before I start to glue it together to ensure it all fits and make sure I’ve not made a mistake.

Just returned from 3 weeks away at work, only going to be around for 2-3 days but spent a few hours on the car today. Just cut and glued a few pieces of wood in place. I also received my history/build folder in the post for from Marcos Heritage Spares. Its nice to know its original colour and options fitted from the factory.

Glued in a few more parts in the last couple of days.

Over the last two days I finally took the plunge and started to glue the parts I previously fabricated together. So far its been going well and I’ve not discovered any issues with the parts I had made. I’ve also been luck that I was able to borrow all the sash clamps from my uncle who is a retired joiner. He has also been giving me some advice with the wood work and supplied me a large amount of planes and hand tools.
