Didn’t get much done today but did manage to fix footwell vent (was a challenge due to metal being so thin).
Also fix air supply vent that goes after the blower motor as that was also rusted away.

Assembled some of the painted parts today. Before anyone asks I’m only restoring one car the second heater is a spare that l’ve repainted at the same time.

Painted most of the parts that were put in primer yesterday. There are a couple of runs on the black parts so will have to rub down a few of the items tomorrow and give them another coat.

Got some parts back from shot blaster today and started to paint them. They are now covered in zinc rich primer.
I also took some suspension parts to get powder coated.

The rear bumpers on the 1500 are held in place by metal tabs that are fiber glassed in place to the inside of the bumpers. Due to the rust over the years only one of these was still present and in place on bumpers. Made 4 new ones out of stainless steel and they are now ready to resin in place when I get a chance.
