Spent the morning fitting the boot lid hinges. The afternoon was spent removing the boot lid and hinges arms ,bending them and then refitting to try and get the boot lid to fit correctly. Took about 5 attempts before I was happy with the fit.

Fitted the lock and door catch to the passenger door today. Had to fabricate replacement piece of metal as the original was rusty and full of holes. Also had to build up the spacer that goes behind the metal with fibreglass filler so the door catch lined up correctly.

Got some parts back from the chrome platers. Some of them are not perfect but they are far better than what I sent them. The speaker grills before I sent them away.
And the same parts back long with the other parts I sent to be re-chromed.

A few weeks ago I one of my doors was in a very bad state when it came back from blasting.
It still a work in progress but the holes are gone and I’ve just hung the door on to the car for the first time since I’ve owned it.
Still need a load more work but its an improvement. Door still doesn’t fit that great as I’ve ran out of adjustment on the hinges. tomorrow I plan to remove hinges, cut them and re-weld them so door fits better. once this is done I’ll continue with repairing the door.

Have been busy with fibre glass repairs. Today I wiped down car with acetone and marked up body with all the cracks I’ve missed! I thought I was getting there but still loads more to go.
