Making progress with the parts still left to finish on chassis. Its a slow process and there is a limit how many pieces you can stick together at once as you need the glue to set before being able to continue. Can also see why they started making chassis from metal as its very time consuming.

First sill clamped and glued into place on the car, really happy with progress. Need to give a lot of the credit to my uncle for helping me fit the sill as he cut and planned it to length so it fitted. Might have been able to do this myself but 25% of the pieces I cut I screw up so I’m not happy with the fit. Not any issue if your cutting a piece of ply or wooden spline for the car as you just get another piece of wood and try again, however I didn’t want to waste a cople of days work by screwing up the sill and having to make another one.
Also placed second part of sill into vacuum bag to be formed so hopefully I can get second sill assembled tomorrow. This will be the last thing I do before I return to work.
My next planned vacation isn’t until December but hopefully if things go well then i’ll be well onto the way of completing the wooden chassis. was expecting it to take longer as my wood working skill are not great

One sill is ready to fit to car and the other one is partially assembled. have glued some extra pieces of wood to sill so I have something to clamp against when I fit it to the car. Once sill is fitted these will be planned and then sanded off so hopefully you will never know they were there. With out these it would be difficult to clamp the sills into place.
