Made a new set of pivots for bonnet out of stainless steel (used a section of left over exhaust pipe).

Bonnet hung in place. Now just need to make a set of replacement metal brackets that it pivots on as I’m missing the original ones. Once that’s done I’ll start on the fibre glass repairs.

I’ve not done much to the car recently but managed to start bonding the new wooden brackets for the bonnet in place today. Hopefully I’ll be able to trial fit the bonnet tomorrow.

Made a new set of wooden brackets for the bonnet and they are ready to bond in place once I get some time.

Spent the day trial fitting the dash and making a few small adjustments so it all fits together. Now I’m happy with the fit I’ll disassemble it and give it a load more coats of lacquer. What didn’t fit very well was the steering column.. This required the hole in the wood behind the dash to be elongated a new metal bracket to hold the steering column to be made.
